payever rebuilds its BNPL and financing widgets for the product page, Shopify and the checkout counter

Developed with its banking partners, payever's redesigned installment messaging, mobile-first calculators and QR-based in-store financing roll out automatically to merchants across all supported shop systems.

HAMBURG, Germany — August 31, 2026

payever today introduced a complete rebuild of its BNPL and financing widgets and calculators, developed together with banking partners including Openbank Pay, Santander Consumer Bank Austria, Santander Consumer Finance Benelux and Resurs Bank. The update moves financing options out of the checkout and onto the product page, replaces every widget and calculator with a mobile-first design, and extends the same experience to Shopify and to the physical store.

Around 70 percent of online shoppers abandon their carts, and one in three leave during checkout itself. In a previous analysis, payever examined why — showing that how a payment is structured, not simply which methods are offered, is what moves a shopper from consideration to purchase. Today's release turns that finding into product.

Financing where the decision happens

Installment and financing options now appear on the product detail page, at the moment a shopper is weighing the purchase, rather than surfacing for the first time at checkout. Monthly amounts, terms and eligibility are shown in context, next to the price.

Widgets and calculators, rebuilt end to end

Every widget and calculator has been redesigned mobile-first and adapts automatically to the merchant's shop system and template. Typography, spacing and color follow the surrounding storefront out of the box — with no custom CSS and no trade-off between correct financing information and the merchant's own design.

No rollout effort for merchants

The update goes live automatically across payever's plugins. Merchants already running payever receive the new widgets without configuration, code changes or a release cycle of their own.

Now available on Shopify

The same widgets and the same underlying financing logic are now available to Shopify merchants. A setup guide is available in the payever documentation.

Availability

Merchants operating point of sale alongside eCommerce receive a printed poster with a QR code for the till area. Customers can scan it to see the available BNPL and financing terms and to complete a self-checkout on their own device — bringing the in-store experience in line with the online one.

"Payment is not a back-office line item. It's a conversion lever — on desktop, on mobile and at the counter," said Artur Schlaht, co-founder and Managing Director of payever.
